A Mean Time Between Failures

The surreal short film portrays the story of a couple, who have lost their daughter in a car accident and must relive this tragedy, after Mary – the wife – forgets the traumatic experience after a brain operation. The film follows Frank – the husband – who tries to find and reconnect with Mary in both reality and the dream world. A Mean Time Between Failures portrays the loss of your own identity and the effects this has on a relationship.

Der surreale Kurzfilm „A Mean Time Between Failures“ erzählt die Geschichte eines Ehepaares, das bei einem Autounfall ihre Tochter verlor und dieses tragische Erlebnis erneut durchleben muss, nachdem sich Mary – die Frau – durch ihre Hirntumor-OP nicht mehr an dieses traumatische Erlebnis erinnern kann. A Mean Time Between Failures inszeniert den Verlust der eigenen Identität und die Auswirkungen, die dieser auf den Zusammenhalt in einer Beziehung hat.
