„Lost Transport“ German cinema release

In spring 1945, a train carrying hundreds of Jewish prisoners gets stuck in the front line near the small German village of Trebitz. The German guards flee, the Red Army soldiers free the prisoners and drive out the German inhabitants. Typhus breaks out and the village becomes a restricted zone. In an environment of mistrust, despair and revenge, an unexpected friendship develops between the Russian sniper Vera, the HJ girl Winnie and the Dutch Jew Simone, who are forced to live in a house and support each other. 

Based on a true incident, Dutch director Saskia Diesing tells an unusual „war story“ from a female perspective. A co-production of COIN FILM (Cologne), Key Film (Amsterdam) and the Amour Fou (Luxembourg).
